He leaned over and brushed his lips against my neck. "And maybe we can act out that DP in person. What do you think?""That sounds promising," I murmured back. "As long as you two can pry yourselves away from all of this."He pressed a kiss against my forehead. "We'll do anything for you, Marie. Anything."
Guys, I wrote that, and I'm still fanning myself about it a little.
I loved spending time with Danny, Marie, and Leo, and there's a small chance we're not done yet—but this is the close to their emotional arc. This is the finishing. This is the coming home.

It was a really rough June. I was recovering from a surgery, my partner was sick, and honestly, July hasn't been off to the most amazing start. Having this trio living in the back of my head was a bright spot that made the days a little nicer.
Here's hoping that continues.
